I had to manually launch the Elder Scrolls Online launcher to download the game and start the installation process of the game. In this video, I show you how to manually launch the Elder Scrolls. For some reason you can't open the launcher to install the game through the steam library, only the shortcut. The 35gb that appears on the launcher, isn't a download, the launcher is extracting the files, not downloading them, if you check the 'download speed' you will see that it is way higher than your internet speed.

This issue might be because of several reasons such as the security software you may have installed on the computer, any program or application running on the computer at the back ground or due to drivers not being updated or corrupted.

1. Since the issue arrived after the Windows update, I would like to know which windows update was installed?
2. Do you get any error message or code while launching the game?

You may try to uninstall the Windows Update and check the behavior of your game with Windows.

To do so:

1. Press Win + X on the keyboard click open Control Panel.
2. Now open Windows Update applet.
3. From the View update history, select the update that you want to remove, and note down its KB number.

Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

Follow the steps to collect the log files:

• Go to the Start Screen, type in Event Viewer. This will bring up the Event Viewer tile, Click to open the event viewer.
• In the left pane, expand out Windows Logs. Click on Application log and highlight the first event in the log and use your arrow keys to scroll down.
• Most of your event will be Information. You may see Yellow Warnings or Red Errors. If you see any red error, you can double click on it to bring it up and copy the contents to a document.
