I installed Ubuntu 14.04 and Windows 7 in my Sony Vaio e-series laptop in dual boot mode. When I recovered my system using the assist button, after completing 100 percent progress it showed:

no such partition

1. I'm not too familiar with the VAIO Assist recovery but if it says '100 percent completed' without throwing out any error I would assume it did indeed finish correctly but isn't equipped to rewrite the Windows Master Boot Record.

   That's where we run into a problem:
   You need either a Windows 7 Installation DVD or a Windows 7 System Repair Disc to restore the Windows MBR.

   If you do have access to another Windows 7 computer you can create repair disc there.

   * The following steps are performed at your own risk.
   I don't know how the VAIO Assist is put in place and unless it's in a HPA the commands could fix the Windows 7 boot while breaking the VAIO Assist. I recommend contacting VAIO support on how to fix the Windows boot ~ it's surely not the first time someone restored 'over' Ubuntu.

   Boot from the System Repair Disc (or the Installation DVD) and select to repair your system using the command prompt. In the command prompt type the following commands, press return after each:
   bootrec.exe /fixboot
   bootrec.exe /fixmbr

   Now try rebooting.

2. you can make a recovery cd/USB from another computer with windows 7 or vista then boot on it
   Choose 'Repair Your Computer,' go to 'Troubleshoot,' and then enter a Command Prompt. Type the following command: bootrec.exe /fixmbr
   This will remove Linux's bootloader and replace it with Windows, then reboot Windows

3. During installation of Ubuntu,did you allowed it to use your whole HDD ?

   Secondly,if yes,then you can try downloading and installing Windows OS version ISO.The product key i embedded in BIOS itself.
