So this is why you MUST record your serial numbers so if someone does manage to steal a firearm, you can report it and maybe get it back IF it is ever found.
Im in that boat now. My neice who was living with us took two of mine while I was out of town working. Traded them off. I didnt find out it was her until a month after I reported it to the police. WITH model numbers, descriptions and serial numbers. Tennis show print gave her up. She's sitting in lockup since Memorial day and we still dont have the people she gave them too. Im still hoping but they may be long gone by now. Lake bottom or something. She's a juvenile, and first time in the system so they are reducing it from two class c felonies to one misdemeanor.
Im a little bent out of shape over it all (okay, a lot), but still hoping she gets the message and turns her life around. Coming to live with us was supposed to help with that in the first place.
